The German organization operating in Kosovo – Institut für Internationale Zusammenarbeit des Deutschen Volkshochschul-Verbandes e.V. (DVV International) announces a job vacancy for the position of Manager of the Youth and Adult Education Center (QRARr) in Prizren (QRARr/Prizren).
This center will operate within the framework of NGO THY. The employment contract will be from 01.10.2023 to 31.12.2024. The call for applications is open from the date of publication until 29.09.2023.
The work schedule will be 5 days a week / 6 hours a day (120 hours per month), and the monthly salary is 1000.00 EUR gross.
The main responsibilities for this position include:
- Representing the interests of QRARr-Prizren, respectively NGO THY, before local government authorities in Prizren, NGOs, civil society organizations, development cooperation organizations, donor delegations on the ground, and public authorities of all kinds, in coordination with the Executive Director of NGO THY – Prizren.
- Planning, managing, and reporting to the Executive Director of NGO THY and DVV International – Kosovo Office, for all projects/activities of QRARr-Prizren, in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and contracts signed by DVV International in Kosovo and NGO THY in Prizren.
- General financial and administrative responsibility for QRARr-Prizren, in coordination with the Executive Director of NGO THY, regarding cash flow, budget monitoring, and implementation of all specific regulations (registration, labor law, social fees, taxes, insurance, etc.).
- Acting as a supervisor on disciplinary and/or special issues for the staff of the QRARr-Prizren office, maintaining networks and sharing specific knowledge in the municipality of Prizren and beyond, as well as strategic development of work, including research and development of project methodologies among donors.
- Regular communication with the local office director of DVV International for Kosovo and coordination with the Executive Director and Board of Directors of NGO THY for all key issues related to project management and staff of QRARr-Prizren.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Executive Director of NGO THY.
Required documents for application:
- Personal CV (in English) and a reference letter from previous employers.
- University Degree (at least Master’s level).
- Proof of at least 3 years of work experience in management in education.
- Proof of at least 3 years of work experience in Adult Education / lifelong learning or community education.
- Good knowledge of Albanian and English is essential (knowledge of other official languages in the Municipality of Prizren is an advantage).
