In Manastirica, a village where ancient traditions meet the warmth and hospitality of the Bosniak community, THY organized a youth camp that created meaningful space for young people from both majority and non-majority communities to come together, connect, and learn from one another.
Young people from Manastirica were joined by their peers from Prizren, forming a diverse and inclusive group that reflected the richness of different community backgrounds. Through interactive workshops, group discussions, and team-based activities, participants exchanged ideas, shared personal experiences, and explored common values beyond ethnic, cultural, and geographic differences. The camp fostered an open environment where dialogue, respect, and equality were central.
Each conversation strengthened mutual understanding, while games and collaborative challenges helped break stereotypes and build trust. By working in mixed groups, participants from majority and non-majority backgrounds developed communication, cooperation, and leadership skills, discovering how diversity can be a source of strength rather than division.
Throughout the activity, Manastirica transformed into a space of energy, vision, and inspiration. Young participants gained confidence, expanded their social circles, and strengthened their sense of belonging—both within their own communities and across community lines.
By bringing together youth from different local, cultural, and community backgrounds, this initiative opened new horizons for cooperation, understanding, and coexistence. The Youth Mosaic Camp demonstrated how inclusive youth activities can promote social cohesion, encourage active participation, and build lasting connections that contribute to a more inclusive and united society.
THY remains committed to creating opportunities where young people from all communities can meet, learn together, and become active contributors to positive social change
