On April 2, 2024, THY officially inaugurated Kosovo’s first Youth and Adult Learning and Education Center, a landmark initiative supported by DVV International that pioneers inclusive lifelong learning in the country.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by prominent figures including Ms. Arbërie Nagavci, Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation; Mr. Sylejman Moni Elshani, Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports; Mr. Jörn Rohde, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Kosovo; Mr. Kujtim Gashi, Deputy Mayor of Prizren; Mr. Edin Shehu, Director of Administration in the Municipality of Prizren; Mr. Thomas Lichtenberg, Regional Director for Caucasus and Southeast Europe at DVV International; and Mr. Mentor Alishani, Rector of the University “Ukshin Hoti” in Prizren.

Their presence underscored the strong partnership between local institutions, government, and international organizations, all committed to advancing education and community development.

This Center represents a new era for Kosovo’s education landscape, bringing together youth and adult learners in a shared space dedicated to skill development, personal growth, and lifelong learning. NGO THY remains dedicated to expanding accessible education opportunities that empower individuals and strengthen communities.
