Rock n’Road is a regional peacebuilding project that unites youth from post-conflict societies in the Western Balkans, fostering connection through music, dialogue, and creative collaboration. Rooted in non-formal education, the initiative empowers young people to confront the legacy of the past while shaping a shared, peaceful future.
Bringing together over 30 young participants from Kosovo, Albania, Serbia, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and beyond, the project blends intercultural learning, musical co-creation, and facilitated workshops led by educators from the VHS Bingen and local partners.
A highlight of the project is its powerful live performances, which serve as both artistic expression and civic engagement. These include:
🎶 A collaborative concert with the Prizren Music School and VHS Bingen professors, showcasing original compositions that reflect the participants’ shared experiences.
🎶 A unique mobile concert staged on a moving truck, which traveled through the streets of Prizren, bringing music, messages of unity, and the energy of youth directly to the community—transforming public space into a platform for peace.
Rock n’Road uses music not only as a tool for artistic development, but as a powerful medium to break down barriers, encourage empathy, and spark new connections across divided societies.
This project is supported by Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
